Pioli: 'Gila could face Milan tonight'

Bologna could well start Alberto Gilardino and Michele Pazienza against Milan tonight. “We will be fully competitive,” said Coach Stefano Pioli.

The Rossoblu snapped up striker Gilardino from Genoa and midfielder Pazienza from Juventus on transfer deadline day.

Both players are included in the squad for this evening’s Serie A match at the Stadio Dall’Ara. Click here for a match preview.

“I am very confident that we can beat the Rossoneri,” said Pioli in his Press conference.

“From this game, we will be fully competitive. Milan have many options open to them and their midfielders are great at finding corridors to push forward, so we must not allow them the space to get close to our penalty area.

“I want to see everything on the field that was missing against Chievo: the utmost care, intensity, pressure, work and concentration.”

Bologna were beaten 2-0 in their opening Serie A game of the season at the Bentegodi.
