Zanetti calls for home improvement

Inter captain Javier Zanetti has accepted that his club need to start collecting results in front of their home fans.

The Nerazzurri have played three games at San Siro so far this term, but Andrea Stramaccioni’s side have yet to win.

They have lost to Hajduk Split and Roma, while they could only collect a 2-2 draw with Vaslui in their Europa League encounter.

“We need to do better at home, but we've made a lot of changes and of course things can be difficult at the start,” he stated. “We need to get back to our best in front of our supporters.”

The Nerazzurri started Serie A well with a convincing win at Pescara, but they were defeated 3-1 by Roma in the last round.

“The media’s reaction to that loss made me laugh,” he added. “Everyone saw the game, Inter played well until a point, then something happened and we couldn't score a goal.”

Finally, the Inter legend wished former Juventus captain Alessandro Del Piero luck after he decided to continue his career in Australia with Sydney FC.

“I'd like him to know I'm thinking of him,” the Argentine stated. “He's a great player and Italian football will miss him a lot.”
