Ventura faces Marassi test

Giampiero Ventura expects an entertaining lunchtime game as Torino visit “enthusiastic” Sampdoria.

The Granata are fresh from their 2-0 defeat to Inter and face a side that has won all three Serie A games so far. Click here for a match preview.

“Clearly the result is important, but even more important is seeing our work continue to progress,” said the Coach.

“Sampdoria are very enthusiastic and solid, so in my view this is going to be a great game. In my view, the Blucerchiati have different objectives to just securing safety this season.

“We will probably have to make tactical adjustments against both Sampdoria and Atalanta. There are matches in which it is necessary to make some changes.”

Salvatore Masiello is in the squad despite the fact his cousin was assassinated in an apparent Mafia-style hit in Naples this week.

“Masiello looked relaxed, so I called him up, otherwise I wouldn’t have considered him for this game,” added Ventura.
