The Rossoblu fought back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 at the Stadio Olimpico last week with Alberto Gilardino’s brace.

“This game has a special importance for us, so I am concentrated only on this fixture and not the fact we’re playing three matches in the space of a week,” said Pioli.

“Pescara have not earned the results they deserved considering their performances so far this season.

“This is a technically gifted side with a lot of pace. They may feel after three consecutive defeats that they are struggling to stay afloat, but we felt the same way at half-time against Roma.

“We can imagine their desire to get back on track and overturn this negative situation. We need to fight that by riding the wave of enthusiasm at the Stadio Dall’Ara.”
