Line-ups: Milan-Cagliari

Milan have to reshuffle their line-up against Cagliari as Massimiliano Allegri attempts to stop the rot.

The Rossoneri have lost three of their opening four Serie A games and face down the San Siro taboo, as neither of the Milanese clubs has been able to win on home turf in all competition this season.

Robinho returns to the bench, but Alexandre Pato, Mathieu Flamini, Sulley Muntari, Rodney Strasser and Didac Vila are injured.

Kevin-Prince Boateng and Cristian Zapata sit out bans following their red cards in the 2-1 defeat to Udinese on Sunday.

Stephan El Shaarawy, Urby Emanuelson and Giampaolo Pazzini are again up front, but the changes are elsewhere with Bakaye Traoré, Mattia De Sciglio and Philippe Mexes starting.

Cagliari play their first game in a week, as Sunday’s encounter with Roma was called off and a 3-0 defeat awarded to them.

President Massimo Cellino caused safety fears by inviting fans to attend the match when it was meant to be behind closed doors.

The tension of that day still running through the squad, the Sardinians are only missing the injured Andrea Cossu.

Mauricio Pinilla leads the trident attack along with Thiago Ribeiro and the extremely quick Victor Ibarbo.

Milan: Abbiati; Abate, Bonera, Mexes, De Sciglio; Traoré, De Jong, Montolivo; Emanuelson, El Shaarawy, Pazzini

Cagliari: Agazzi; Perico, Rossettini, Astori, Pisano; Dessena, Conti, Nainggolan; Thiago Ribeiro, Ibarbo, Pinilla
