“Results are determined by disparate factors. We lost a game and are now back down to earth. With sacrifice, unity, determination and cynicism we can achieve our goals.”

Someone seemingly lacking in cynicism is Klose, who confessed to scoring with his hand with the score at 0-0.

“He did what the club has always encouraged, and respected the values of sport.”

Vladimir Petkovic's side aim to get back on track when they host Siena on Sunday.
