“At this moment the player is staying with us ahead of the operation which is due tomorrow afternoon,” Professor Pier Paolo Mariani told Calciomercato.it.

“Usually this type of injury requires around six months to recover, but obviously a lot depends on the player. Our objective is to cut down this lay-off time.”

Hernandez hopes to return within four months.
