Napoli are reportedly in talks with Torino to complete a January transfer swap, exchanging Edu Vargas for Rolando Bianchi.

There had already been rumours that Toro were interested in taking Chilean talent Vargas on loan in order to help him gain Serie A experience.

Considered one of the brightest young players in South America, Vargas has barely featured for the Partenopei since joining in January 2011.

He has other contenders for a loan spell too, as Catania, Genoa and River Plate are all interested.

Torino have the upper hand, as they can offer striker Bianchi as part of the exchange deal that would suit Napoli.

It has become clear during Edinson Cavani’s injury that the squad lacks a suitable alternative to the Uruguayan centre-forward.

Bianchi would fit the bill and is also available, as his contract with the Granata expires at the end of the season.
