“Looking at the table this might seem to be a simple match, but that is not the case,” warned the Coach.

“We must do well to separate ourselves from those expectations. We need to have a strong impact on the game from the very start, with great conviction. We can only focus on this match.”

The fact remains that the Ducali are in seventh place after their run of positive results and could be one of the surprises of the season.

“If we manage to overcome the Pescara hurdle, then we can look to the next game in a very different light. Over the course of a campaign we have to take it one step at a time, without making too many calculations.”

Amauri has not made the trip after requiring 12 stitches on a cut to his lip, joining Fabiano Santacroce and the suspended Ishak Belfodil.

Parma squad for Pescara: Mirante, Pavarini, Bajza; Benalouane, Fideleff, Lucarelli, Paletta, Zaccardo; Acquah, Gobbi, Marchionni, Morrone, Musacci, Ninis, Parolo, Rosi, Valdes; Biabiany, Pabon,  Palladino,  Sansone
