Fiorentina goalkeeper Emiliano Viviano has played down talk of a title challenge from the Viola after their impressive start to the season.

Vincenzo Montella's men have won seven of their first 12 games in Serie A and currrently sit in fourth position after their 3-1 win over Milan at San Siro on Sunday.

But the 26-year-old shot-stopper has dismissed speculation that the team are aiming for their third Scudetto.

“The Scudetto question is not a good one for us,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “I think third place is probably more realistic.

“We have to continue on this run we're on and try to go as far as possible. Playing against us is not easy for anyone at the moment, even for Milan at San Siro.”
