Italy v France past meetings

History favours Italy in their ties with France as the two nations meet in a glamour friendly at Parma this evening.

Today’s encounter will be the 37th clash between the two nations, with the Azzurri recording 18 wins, 10 draws and eight defeats.

Italy’s record at home versus Les Bleus reads 10 wins, two draws and two defeats from 14 games on the peninsula.

Italy’s last home reverse to France was in February 1994, when former Inter midfielder Youri Djorkaeff scored the only goal of the game.

The two teams last met at Euro 2008, with Roberto Donadoni’s side emerging with a 2-0 win. Italy’s last loss against the French was in Paris in September 2006, when they fell 3-1.

Meanwhile, Italy have played five internationals on November 14 in the past. They’ve collected two wins, two draws and a loss to England in 1934.
