Fiorentina have confirmed that they have no intention of sending Juan Cuadrado back to Udinese at the end of the season.

The Colombian joined the Viola in the summer and he’s enjoyed an impressive first few months in Tuscany.

“We will certainly take up our option to sign a 50 per cent share in him from Udinese in the summer,” Fiorentina director general Daniele Prade noted.

“Therefore, Cuadrado will stay with us until at least June 2014 and then we’ll discuss his future yet again.

“However, he is a player whom we wanted and a player who we want to get value out of.”

The 24-year-old wing-back has one goal in 12 League games for the club so far this season.
