Cagliari boss Ivo Pulga concedes his men felt close to both victory and defeat during their chaotic 2-2 draw with Inter.

The Sardinians fell behind early on, turned it around to lead 2-1 with Marco Sau’s brace and were eventually pegged back by a Davide Astori own goal.

“We put in a great performance and proved that we don’t want to lose to anyone,” said Coach Pulga.

“We could even have won today, but at the end of the day we are content with the point.

“Cagliari came to San Siro and played open and attacking football. We threatened a victory, but in the final minutes it felt like time was dragging on forever and we risked defeat.”
