Pioli: 'Bologna just like Samp'

Stefano Pioli expects a tense encounter today, as “Bologna and Sampdoria are going through a similar period of form.”

Last weekend Bologna ended their winless streak by beating eight-man Palermo 3-0, while Samp won the Genoa Derby to break their run of seven consecutive defeats.

“We will see two teams face off who in a way are going through a similar period of form,” said Rossoblu Coach Pioli.

“After the initial difficulties, we have both found the right spirit. Both teams are coming off a positive result and both will try to keep it going.

“We must maintain the same approach and mentality as last Sunday, putting all our potential on to the field.”

Gianluca Curci is out for three weeks with a thigh strain, while Saphir Taider had surgery on a fractured wrist, but Archimede Morleo and Michele Pazienza are back in the side.
