Atalanta boss Stefano Colantuono is confident Tuesday's Coppa Italia opponents Roma will become a major force in Italy.

The Giallorossi have had a period of transition recently with two different different Presidents in two years, but the 50-year-old believes the capital club will return to the top of Serie A soon enough.

“I have said it before, but it is just a matter of patience,” he told Sky Sport Italia. “With some calm, Roma can be one of the strongest teams around.”

He also commented on the cup clash taking place this evening.

“I was born in Rome, so I feel something for this match,” he said. “We have some players out injured, but we will certainly try our best to win it.”
