The Giallorossi beat Stefano Colantuono's side 3-0 in the Coppa Italia on Tuesday with the 21-year-old scoring one of the goals.

But the capital club have indicated that the former Siena man has taken a knock to his right thigh and left ankle.

“Medical examinations were taken today at [Roma's training ground] Trigoria,” their official Twitter account confirmed.

“And Mattia has trauma to his right thigh and left ankle.”

Zdenek Zeman's side have however, refused to comment on how long the young forward will be out for.
