Juventus midfielder Emanuele Giaccherini has been fined €8,000 for showing an offensive banner, while Lazio director Igli Tare was suspended for two months.

The Disciplinary Commission today gave its verdict on an incident that happened during the Juventus Scudetto celebrations in May 2012.

Giaccherini was spotted waving a banner that had been given to him by a Bianconeri fan on the open-top bus through the streets of Turin.

The banner was insulting towards Milan and their Vice-President Adriano Galliani, referencing the controversy over a Sulley Muntari ‘phantom goal’ in their 1-1 draw with Juve.

Giaccherini has now been fined €8,000 for the incident and another €8,000 fine has to be paid by the club.

Meanwhile, Lazio technical director Tare has been suspended for two months and the club fined €4,000 because on June 18 he entered an area of the transfer market hub without the proper accreditation.
