Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani has confirmed that Santos are in the running to sign Robinho next month.
The official is currently in Brazil in a bid to sell the South American and Diavolo teammate Alexandre Pato.
While a deal is close with Corinthians for Pato, Robinho’s future is still unclear given the interest of numerous sides.
“There is the possibility of a sale to Santos,” the Italian official was quoted as saying by the Brazilian media.
“We haven’t been able to reach an agreement with Flamengo though, while I still don’t know about Atletico Mineiro…”
Milan want around €12m for the former Manchester City forward, but another problem could be the player’s wage demands.
Robinho reportedly wants €5m a season and it is unclear whether Santos can match that request.
