“I have not received any offers from Juventus or Milan,” Cairo told La Stampa newspaper when asked about rumoured14m bids.

“I know that he is much admired, but there are very successful overseas clubs tracking Ogbonna. In any case, he is recovering from injury and will remain with us to give the club a big helping hand.”

Among the other sides linked with Ogbonna are Roma, Napoli, Arsenal, Fulham and Benfica.
