Turkish media claim Wesley Sneijder has already signed his contract with Galatasaray, but Italian reports suggest he’s still making up his mind.

The saga drags on after Inter accepted the club’s offer of around €10m, but Sneijder’s agent confirmed on Friday night that “an imminent transfer is impossible” as he has been rejecting their calls.

NTV Spor in Turkey announced that a deal has been struck for a contract worth €3.5m per season plus numerous performance-related bonuses and a €5.8m signing-on fee.

They expect Sneijder to arrive in Istanbul for his medical on Monday or Tuesday.

However, Italian sources insist an agreement is still a long way off and the Dutchman hasn’t yet decided whether to go ahead with negotiations.

He is eager to wait in case Premier League clubs come forward with a proposal, such as Manchester United, Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool or Chelsea.

There is also German interest from Schalke 04.
