Zdravko Kuzmanovic says it is “a dream come true” to join Inter and return to Serie A after his spell in Germany.

The Serbian winger was already a familiar face in Italy with Fiorentina before moving to Vfb Stuttgart in 2009.

“I am very happy,” he said. “I thank President Massimo Moratti, the directors and my agent. It is a dream come true to play for a big club like Inter.

“I went to Stuttgart because I wanted to try that experience, but recently I had strongly desired a return to Italy. I immediately said yes to Inter, as the others were of no interest to me.

“In two days the negotiations were sewn up. Now I am happy, even if I have to get to know the team. It was better to arrive now rather than June.”

Kuzmanovic will wear the Number 17 jersey and is not nervous about playing at San Siro.

“I am never scared by these things, in fact San Siro is a dream. After all, the fans at Fiorentina were pretty tough on us. The important thing is to do well straight away.

“I played in front of the defence at Stuttgart and can do well in this role. I learned to be more physical in Germany, as the Bundesliga requires more stamina. I was only young in Florence, just 19, so I have matured.

“I am particularly pleased to be in the same squad as Dejan Stankovic, as I have always dreamed of being his teammate. I hope to follow in his footsteps.”
