Cristian Chivu said Inter are above all irritated that the row between Antonio Cassano and Andrea Stramaccioni got out.

The striker was dropped for today’s trip to Catania after reports emerged of a locker room bust-up with his Coach, which some claim even got physical.

“These things happen in all teams, the only difference is that with us it always leaks out,” said Chivu on Sky Sport Italia.

“The situation is damaging, because what happens in the locker room has to remain in there. At least it means the blood is still pumping.”

Inter risk falling out of the European places, as today they go into a head-to-head with on-form Catania.

“The Sicilians are in great shape and above all doing very well on home turf. It will be a hard-fought and entertaining match.”
