Inter could take on Tottenham in the Europa League this week without inspirational midfielder Fredy Guarin.

The Colombian, replaced by Esteban Cambiasso in yesterday’s 3-2 win at Catania, is struggling with an ankle problem.

The former Porto player will be assessed on a daily basis between now and when boss Andrea Stramaccioni has to name his squad for the European tie.

Guarin has had a notable campaign for the Nerazzurri, scoring four goals in 23 League games, plus four in 10 Europa League ties and two in three Coppa Italia matches.
