Genoa Coach Davide Ballardini is sure Milan “will not be thinking about Barcelona” when they come to Marassi tomorrow evening.

This Serie A Week 28 game is brought forward to Friday at 19.45 GMT to help the Rossoneri prepare for Tuesday’s Champions League showdown.

“Milan will not be thinking about Barcelona, as they have a clear objective in their minds which is to get second place,” said Ballardini in his Press conference.

“Having said that, let us be clear – we care more about this game than anyone else!”

Genoa are without Marco Rossi, Francelino Matuzalem, Antonio Floro Flores, Ruben Olivera, Thomas Manfredini and the suspended Juraj Kucka.

“We haven’t had much chance to train this week, as the heavy rain made it too difficult, so we mainly worked in the gym.

“The idea is to maintain our usual system, even if Kucka is a very difficult player to replace and few in Serie A have his characteristics. I don’t think it is right that he is suspended and it’s a shame he can’t be here in a game where technique and quality will be crucial.

“Genoa now have a precise identity and impressed against Roma despite the defeat. By being united, with team spirit and good football is how you get results.”

Genoa squad for Milan: Donnarumma, Frey, Tzorvas; Bovo, Cassani, Ferronetti, Granqvist, Moretti, Portanova; Antonelli, Bertolacci, Jorquera, Pisano, Rigoni, Tozser, Vargas; Borriello, Immobile, Jankovic
