Di Natale will consider quitting

Udinese striker Antonio Di Natale has revealed that he will consider retirement at the end of the season.

“I don’t feel my age, but, after 20 years of football, training is starting to weigh me down,” the 35-year-old told the Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I still really enjoy games though. I’ll decide what to do in June. Once the season is over I’ll stop and think about the best solution.”

The former Italian international joined the Bianconeri in the summer of 2004 from Empoli. Since then he has scored 150 goals in 286 League games for Zebrette.

Di Natale also revealed that he’d like to work in coaching when he does hang up his boots, but wants to teach kids rather than take charge of a Serie A side.

His contract at the Stadio Friuli isn’t set to expire until June 2014.
