The Montenegro international is in the British papers as England prepare for Tuesday’s head-to-head World Cup qualifier.

“It sure is nice when you are interesting big clubs like Arsenal and Manchester City,” he was quoted as telling the Daily Star.

“It feels good because the English game currently has probably the strongest league in the world.

“I’m very comfortable in Italy, but the Premier League is at the top of the football world – and perhaps the best.

“We will see what happens in the future.”

Tuttosport suggest negotiations with Arsenal are going well, though there is still a £5.5m gap between demand and offer.

Jovetic has a buy-out clause in his contract worth £25m, though so far the Gunners have only proposed a £19.5m bid.

Arsenal could be favoured by the fact Fiorentina would prefer to sell Jovetic abroad rather than to their arch rivals Juventus.
