Walter Mazzarri complained he hasn’t had time to prepare for the game, as players trickled back from international duty and Edinson Cavani had to fly straight to Turin to meet the squad there yesterday.

“The fact the players return from international duty a couple of days before a big game doesn’t help us to prepare, but it is an honour and a joy for us to have them play for their countries, so I won’t complain,” smiled Ventura.

“Now we’ll try to get the five points we need to secure safety and can say we achieved our target for the season.

“The game will be important for Alessio Cerci, as there is the risk he could be a little confused or shaken up by his first Italy caps, but he knows he must continue on this path. He has matured a great deal and I tell him to continue.”
Toro are unbeaten on home turf in 2013 thanks to three wins and two draws, while the Partenopei have been stuttering.

“Napoli are finding their feet again and still in the Scudetto race, so it’ll take a great Toro to bring home the result,” insisted Ventura.

Matteo Brighi is out injured, so Migjen Basha is expected to take his place in midfield.

Torino squad for Napoli: Bakic, Barreto, Basha, Bianchi, Caceres, Cerci, Coppola, D'Ambrosio, Darmian, Di Cesare, Diop, Gazzi, Gillet, Glik, Ogbonna, Jonathas, Masiello, Meggiorini, Menga, Rodriguez, Santana, Stevanovic, Vives
