Marco Materazzi thinks Andrea Stramaccioni should remain as Inter boss for next season, but warned he’ll need some reinforcements.

“Keeping Stramaccioni says a lot about the club’s intentions for the future,” the 2006 World Cup winner told Gazza Offside.

“But that move needs to be followed up with the arrival of a few new players because it is clear that something has been missing this season.

“If the squad remains pretty much like it has been then it would be hard for Inter to target the Scudetto in 2013-14.”

The Nerazzurri, who have a game in hand over the teams in front of them, are joint sixth in Serie A following the defeat against Juventus.

They are 10 points behind city rivals Milan who occupy the last remaining Champions League spot.
