Campagnaro puts Napoli first

Hugo Campagnaro insists he is focused on Napoli despite admitting to transfer negotiations with Inter.

The 32-year-old, signed from Sampdoria in 2009, will be available on a free transfer in the summer once his contract at the San Paolo expires.

“Talks with Inter are continuing as nothing has been concluded yet,” the Argentina international told Sky Sport Italia.

“However, at this moment in time, all that I am thinking about is doing well with Napoli,” the centre-back continued.

“I know the Argentines at Inter very well, we are often together on international duty and I always speak to Inter striker Rodrigo Palacio.

“But, I repeat, I don’t want to think about what may happen in June. I just want to focus on what I can give to Napoli.”

Campagnaro, who could be the subject of a variety of available free bets this weekend, may be replaced in Naples by Lazio’s Modibo Diakite who is also available on a Bosman at the end of the season.
