The agent of Marco Verratti has rejected speculation that his client could complete a move to Napoli from Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season.

After links with Juventus, Roma and Milan, the 20-year-old Italian international is now being paired with the Azzurri less than a year after moving to France.

“I thank President Aurelio De Laurentiis for the interest he has shown in Marco, but thinking about a Napoli move is utopia,” Donato Di Campli told Radio CRC.

“PSG don’t want to sell him because they are counting on young players like him.”

The representative was then asked about the possibility of Verratti being involved in a player plus cash deal for Napoli’s Edinson Cavani.

“If PSG wanted Cavani then Marco would not be part of any deal,” he added. “That’s also because the rescission clause in Cavani’s contract would not represent a problem for the French club.”

Uruguayan international Cavani has a €63m release fee inserted into his contract at the Stadio San Paolo.
