The agent of Real Betis playmaker Benat Etxebarria has admitted that his client could make a move to Italy this summer.

The midfielder had been in talks with the Spanish club over a new deal from the close of the summer transfer window, when bids from Wolfsburg and Athletic Bilbao were turned down.

However, with the 26-year-old due to enter his final 12 months this coming June, his representative has now confirmed that the stalled negotiations are over, and a switch to Serie A is possible.

“We are not speaking about a renewal with Betis. Benat’s future is probably far from Seville,” Jose Vicente Biurrun told TuttoMercatoWeb this week.

“We are not going to wait out the contract, but look for a club at the top level where Benat can play with continuity and show his football to the world.

“The call for the World Cup is a dream. It is why we are looking for a big club. In Italy, Juventus” data-scaytid=”24″>Juventus, Milan and Inter are good destinations.

“Although, right now, there has been no contact, they are very strong European clubs and we are open to consider any offer.”
