Manchester United scouts were in the stands to watch Angelo Ogbonna today, but the Torino defender is “not thinking about the future.”

Darren Ferguson, the son of United manager Sir Alex, was in the stands of the Stadio Olimpico for this afternoon’s 2-1 home defeat to Roma.

“If Ferguson’s son came to see me, then obviously that is very gratifying, but at this moment I am not thinking about the future,” said 24-year-old Ogbonna.

“I live in the present. I, just like all of my teammates, am focusing only on securing safety for Torino.”

Ogbonna has been linked with numerous top clubs in Italy and around Europe, but explains why he chose to stay with the Granata.

“I stayed for our Coach, Giampiero Ventura. I know and trust what he says. We only have to look each other in the eyes to understand what we have to do.”
