The Sardinians have been on sparkling form, losing just one of their last 13 games and fresh from pushing past Inter.

They travel to the Stadio San Paolo this afternoon, albeit without the suspended Daniele Conti and Mauricio Pinilla, while Andrea Cossu and Francesco Pisano are injured.

“We have achieved our objective, which is safety, and now we want to keep getting positive results so we can finish as high up the table as possible,” said co-Coach Pulga.

“The team doesn’t need motivating in a game like this. Napoli are a great team and it’s no coincidence they are second in the standings. It is going to be a very difficult match for us, but we will play it with open and attacking football.

“It’s a shame we have to do without important players who would certainly have enjoyed this game. We’ll pick the system and line-up at the last moment to keep Napoli guessing.”

Cagliari squad for Napoli: Agazzi, Avramov; Ariaudo, Astori, Avelar, Del Fabro, Murru, Perico, Rossettini; Cabrera, Casarini, Dessena, Ekdal, Eriksson, Nainggolan; Ibarbo, Nenè, Sau, Thiago Ribeiro
