Fiorentina must beat already-relegated Pescara and hope Milan fail to get all three points in Siena to snatch third place.

The Viola are only two points behind Milan and have a superior head-to-head record, so ending level would see the Tuscans go through to the Champions League.

Adem Ljajic is available again after a two-match ban, while Alberto Aquilani shakes off a knock to start in midfield.

Michele Camporese, Momo Sissoko, Marcelo Larrondo and Mounir El Hamdaoui are out of action.

Pescara are already in Serie B and have matched the all-time top flight record of 27 defeats, set in 1949-50 by Venezia.

Giuseppe Rizzo returns from suspension, though Antonio Balzano is banned instead.

Coach Cristian Bucchi is without numerous injured players, including Vladimir Weiss, Juan Fernando Quintero, Gaetano D’Agostino, Ivan Pelizzoli, Gianluca Caprari and Giuseppe Sculli.

The Delfini did manage to beat Fiorentina 2-0 in a shock January result at the Stadio Franchi, so will be hoping to become their bête noir.
