Rumours on Wednesday claimed that the former Napoli man would replace Andrea Stramaccioni at San Siro.
But the Nerazzurri owner has insisted that that isn't true, whilst also leaving the door open for Roberto Mancini to return.
“The signing of Mazzarri? That has no truth to it,” he told reporters.
“Mancini as a possibility? Everything is possible in football.”
