Napoli may no longer be interested in Antonio Nocerino following the departure of boss Walter Mazzarri, says the Milan man’s agent.

The Italian international has been paired with his hometown club following a problematic campaign at San Siro.

However, Marco Sommella has told Radio CRC that Mazzarri’s decision to leave the Stadio San Paolo may change things.

“I don’t know if Nocerino could join Napoli,” the representative stated. “Mazzarri was a fan of his and that would have helped a possible move, but now such talk is premature.

“It is not possible to predict certain things until Napoli confirm who will be their new Coach for next season.”

Chelsea tactician Rafael Benitez is the favourite to be given the job. It is understood that he has agreed a two-year deal worth €3.5m a season.
