Aurelio Andreazzoli insists he would “without doubt make the same decisions again” despite Roma’s Coppa Italia defeat to Lazio.

There are reports Pablo Daniel Osvaldo was shouting at the Coach after the final whistle, as he only came on for the last 15 minutes.

“I would without doubt make the same decisions again,” he told RAI Sport following a 1-0 defeat.

“I wanted responses from my players and a battle emerged on the field that was very hard fought. As often happens in these cases, a moment of luck tends to be decisive.

“Roma weren’t very dangerous, but neither were Lazio. It was a balanced encounter and nobody wanted to lose, of course. We rather cancelled each other out.

“I didn’t like this game in terms of technique, but I was impressed with the passion and determination on show.”

This was most likely Andreazzoli’s last game on the Roma bench, which he took over on an interim basis from Zdenek Zeman in early February.

“I am really not thinking about my future. If the media do, then that’s their problem. We have time to discuss matters and I don’t see why I should think about it now. My future is just getting over this disappointment.

“Of course I am here to help Roma in any way they need me. I was fortunate to work with this group of players, it was a great adventure and we achieved some excellent results. We were looking for the icing on the cake, but didn’t find it.

“All teams can improve and therefore Roma will be changed too, but that’s just logical.”
