“Of course Neymar is irreplaceable for everything he represents, but with the departure of our star, the efforts to create a winning side become even more pressing.

“Therefore, we are interested in Robinho.”

A move is more than plausible, as the 29-year-old has repeatedly said he misses Brazil and wants a return to his former club.

Milan are also prepared to release Robinho, as his contract expires in 2014, so this would be the last chance to bring in around €8m for him.
