Blanc considers Roma job

Laurent Blanc has put himself forward for the Roma job by announcing: “I really want to get back on to the bench.”

The former France manager had already been approached in February when Zdenek Zeman was sacked, but they were unable to reach an agreement.

Now that first choice Massimiliano Allegri seems closer to staying at Milan ahead of Sunday’s crucial meeting with President Silvio Berlusconi, Roma are forced to look elsewhere.

“I really want to get back on to the bench of a great team,” Blanc told Sky Sport Italia.

“I want to put myself back in the mix and become a protagonist again. I have received many offers, both from France and abroad.

“I will take a little time and then decide which is the most intriguing project.”

Blanc has also been linked with the PSG position if Carlo Ancelotti goes to Real Madrid.
