Roberto Donadoni had been tipped for the benches at Roma and Milan, but today insisted “I am staying at Parma.”

His assistant manager confirmed last week that he had received a proposal from the Giallorossi, who are seeking a replacement if Massimiliano Allegri stands by Milan.

“I confirm once more so as to avoid any misunderstandings that I am staying at Parma,” read a statement released by Donadoni on the club website.

“I am happy here and fully in sync with President Tommaso Ghirardi and director Pietro Leonardi, while I have a contract for another two years.

“Seeing as the reports continue to circulate, I wish to once again publicly state my position out of respect for the club, the team and all the fans.

“It is June and I have already planned out next season with Parma. This is a club I consider to be absolutely at the top level and therefore I have no reason to leave.”
