Marco Verratti’s representative will meet with Paris Saint-Germain this month in order to get his client a new improved contract.

The Italian international, currently starring for the Under-21 side, joined PSG a year ago from Pescara for €12m.

The 20-year-old midfielder has since attracted the interest of Real Madrid, a club who are close to hiring PSG boss Carlo Ancelotti.

“I’ll talk to the directors in Paris next week to discuss his future,” Donato Di Campli told Sport Mediaset. “We’ll also discuss a pay rise.

“Verratti is tied to the outfit for another four seasons, but he is no longer the player who arrived from Pescara.

“His value is now different and we’ll also evaluate these aspects.

“Real Madrid? I read a lot of stories in the newspapers and it is pleasing to know that Marco is being followed by great clubs such as Real.”
