The Is Arenas has once again failed to gain a certificate from the council, so Cagliari could play their home games in Brescia.
This issue has been dragging on for nearly a year, as President Massimo Cellino was even kept in custody for several weeks during a police investigation into the construction of the stadium.
It was hoped over the summer Cagliari could finally complete the reconstruction work needed to bring it up to code.
However, today the local council again refused to release a certificate until the building work has been completed.
Cagliari are working on a deadline to register for the 2013-14 season, so are likely to name the Stadio Rigamonti in Brescia as their ‘home’ stadium.
They had been using the Stadio Nereo Rocco in Trieste for the final few matches of the season, but that venue will be used by Udinese while the Stadio Friuli is reconstructed.
