Sky Sport Italia claim Milan are further than ever from agreeing a new contract with Mathieu Flamini.

The former Arsenal midfielder’s current deal expires at the end of the month and today his agent visited Adriano Galliani at the club headquarters.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the meeting was a failure, as it showed there is a huge difference between offer and demand.

Flamini is thought to want €15m wages before taxes spread over a three-year contract, whereas Milan are proposing just €3.6m gross on a two-year deal.

It is increasingly unlikely that the Frenchman will be at San Siro next season.
