Report: PSG in Cavani swoop

There are strong reports that PSG director Leonardo is in direct talks with Napoli for Edinson Cavani tonight.

The French club emerged as the favourites for his signature over the last few days after rumours they were prepared to pay the €63m buy-out clause.

Chelsea, Manchester City and Real Madrid have shown they are less likely to reach that sum.

Several Italian reports claim Paris Saint-Germain director Leonardo is in Rome for face-to-face talks with President Aurelio De Laurentiis.

De Laurentiis was furious when he returned home after the meeting, as Sport Mediaset claim he insulted and even kicked journalists waiting in his street.

The two clubs did business last year when Ezequiel Lavezzi moved from Napoli to Parc des Princes.

Some rumours suggested Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be used as part of the deal, but they do not seem to be supported.
