The midfielder terminated his contract by mutual consent today and is expected to end his career at Red Star Belgrade.
He wrote a touching open letter to the supporters and this evening President Moratti replied with another missive on the club website.
“Dear Dejan, I am proud to be able to thank a great person like you who honoured Inter and always responded to the fans with courage and character.
“A real professional who will always remain in the hearts of the Inter fans, and mine in particular, as the memory of a classy and passionate warrior.
