According to Sky Sport Italia, the club is prepared to increase its previous bid to almost the €8m fee requested by the Gunners.
That figure is calculated at approximately £7m.
The reports insist that Ivory Coast hitman Gervinho has made it clear he wants to join Roma.
Last season he scored five Premier League goals in 18 games for Arsenal, plus two in six Champions League appearances.
