The Uruguay international was presented as a Les Parisiens player this afternoon after the club signed the goalscorer in a €63m deal from the Partenopei.
“I had three spectacular years at Napoli,” he told a Press conference. “I want to tell the people of Naples that I will always carry them in my heart.
“I love Naples and I want to come back one day.
“I love the people and I always will do, but today I am a PSG player and I will give everything for these colours.
“I wish Napoli all the best and I hope they can win more trophies.”
The 26-year-old the commented on his decision to join the Ligue 1 team and the possibility of playing with Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
“I'm happy to be here and be a part of the PSG project.
“I want to thank my agent, Leonardo and all the people that made the move possible.
“[Zlatan and I] can co-exist and win together.
“For me it is an honour to play with such a great striker.”
