CSKA warn Milan over Honda

CSKA Moscow have reiterated they won’t sell Keisuke Honda to Milan “unless there is a suitable offer.”

The Japanese international will be a free agent in January and already has a deal to join the Rossoneri then, but the clubs are in negotiations for an immediate switch.

“Honda can talk to other clubs about his future, but for the moment he cannot leave unless there is a suitable offer,” President Yevgeni Giner told the Russian media.

“There are rumours of proposals that reach €1.5m-€2m, but this is not a solution that is useful for us. He is an important player for us and can help us earn €2m if we get through the Champions League play-offs.

“Besides, if he plays at his best, then he could earn himself a better contract. He might not necessarily end up at Milan at all.”
