Inter have made Matias Silvestre’s move to city rivals Milan official with a brief message on their website.

“Internazionale would like to announce that Argentinian defender Matias Silvestre has joined Milan on loan,” it read. “The Rossoneri have an option to make the deal permanent.”

The 28-year-old, left out of Inter’s pre-season training squad, leaves the Nerazzurri just a year after his arrival from Palermo.

He appeared in 20 games for the Beneamata last season across Serie A, the Coppa Italia and the Europa League.

Silvestre expressed his delight in joining the Diavolo during an interview with the Gazzetta dello Sport earlier today.
