Metalist Kharkiv, the new club of ex-Catania star Alejandro Gomez, have been disqualified from the Champions League play-offs.

The Ukrainian club was thrown out of all UEFA 2013-14 competition due to match-fixing, although they are expected to appeal.

They have been replaced in the Champions League draw by PAOK FC, who had been eliminated by Metalist in the third qualifying round.

As a consequence, Greek side PAOK will now face Schalke 04 in the Champions League play-offs.
